Candidates admitted to the B.Ed. degree course can choose their medium of instruction as either Tamil or English, based on the availability of the medium in the college.
After the last date of admission, the Principal must submit the list of students along with their chosen medium of instruction to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU).
Change of Medium:
If a candidate wishes to change their chosen medium of instruction after admission, a written request must be submitted.
Permission must be obtained from TNTEU before the Nominal Roll is published.
The chosen medium will be recorded only in the Transfer Certificate issued after completion of the course.
Separate instruction will be provided for each medium to ensure clarity and focus in teaching.
Every candidate must maintain a minimum of 85% attendance (170 working days) to be eligible for the B.Ed. degree examination.
If attendance is between 75% and 85% due to medical reasons, candidates may be allowed condonation as per TNTEU norms.
Candidates failing to meet the minimum condonable attendance requirement will not be permitted to appear for the examinations.
Students must register for both Written and Practical Examinations during their first appearance.
Candidates failing to meet attendance norms will be automatically disqualified from appearing in both written and practical exams.
The candidate must secure at least 50% marks in aggregate per course.
A minimum of 45% must be obtained in the external component of each course (both full and half courses).
Candidates who do not meet the above criteria will be declared failed in that subject.
Re-appearance is allowed only for the failed courses, not the full set.
